DNS Exercise Skills Course - Pelvic Floor Dysfunction

This course is designed DNS approach to pelvic floor dysfunction

Course Objectives:

  1. Discuss and workshop assessment and treatment of pelvic floor issues

  2. Pelvic floor muscle function from developmental perspective

  3. Associated kinesiology between the diaphragm and the pelvic floor

  4. Typical postural disturbances, functional trigger point chains, joint dysfunction and hypersensitive zones in gynecological and urinary dysfunctions

  5. DNS assessment and rehabilitation for stress incontinence, anorectal dysfunction, amenorrhea and dysmenorrhea, functional sterility, pelvic organ prolapse and pelvic pain syndromes

  6. Vertebral-visceral relationships

  7. Chronic pelvic pain syndrome in males

  8. Rehabilitation for pregnant females

Who Should Attend?

Practitioners who have taken any DNS course previously.

Assessment

At the end of the course, a Certificate of Attendance will be awarded.

Registration & Payment

  • Prague School (PS) Registration Fee: 80 EUR

It is not a payment for the course. Once your PS fee is completed, payment of course fees can be made. BTA reserves the right to request proof of payment for the PS registration fee.

The Prague School registration fee is non-refundable.

Without your online registration and PS fee payment you will not be permitted to attend any DNS course nor will you receive the Prague School Certificate of Attendance; thus you cannot take the DNS test and you will not be allowed to register for later advanced courses.

Upon you registration and payment, you will receive an automatic email with a link to download the course notes. This email goes to the email address you provide during your payment procedure. If you do not receive this email within one hour after a payment, please contact info@rehabps.com and request the course notes. Hard copies will not be available.

About the Trainer - Mgr. Petra Valouchová, Ph.D.

Petra graduated with a Master’s degree from the Department of Physical Therapy at Palacky University in Olomouc in 1998. She achieved her Ph.D. in Kinanthropology with a focus on Biomechanics in 2001. Her main interest is biomechanics and the kinematic analysis of gait. 

Since 2002 Petra worked as a physical therapist at the Rehabilitation and Sport Medicine Department at the Motol University Hospital in Prague. 

Petra is a university teacher of physical therapy at the Charles’ University. Medical School. Her lectures include Sports Medicine, Biomechanics, Bobath Concept and Vojta Reflex Locomotion methods. She has also specialized in surface electromyography assessment and has published several articles regarding surface electromyographical studies.

As of October 2011, Petra became Chief physiotherapist at the Centre of Movement Medicine located in Prague (http://www.cpmpk.cz) which is one of the two private clinics owned by Professor Kolář where she oversees both departments of physical therapy since 2018.

Petra is certified in Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, Vojta Reflex locomotion principle, Mobilization and Soft Tissue Techniques according to Lewit, Bobath Method for adults, Stecco Fascia Manipulation, and Dry Needling DGSA.

She also completed courses in Neurodynamics according to Butler, Barral Institute method of Visceral Manipulation,and Mulligan concept.

Petra is an expert in Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization and is also a certified Instructor in Developmental Kinesiology and Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization since 2002. 

Her main focuses in DNS are sport medicine, running athletes, pediatrics, junior athletes, and foot problems. 

Petra has been a Fitness Step Team World Champion in 2003 and 2004, and European Champion in 2004.
